Due to their unclear political position, white females have always considered a particular electorate type. In this article, white women have been the protagonists because they have consistently, for over 70 years, voted for the Republican Party in the majority (Junn, 2016). Usually, the republican party is known for not prioritizing and sometimes even prohibiting gender equality in rights and responsibilities. Finally, the author states that throughout the entire history of presidential elections, only two of the democratic presidents gained comparative predominance from white females.
While analyzing the article, I noticed that the white elephant represents abstract parallelism in the expression concerning the elephant that is standing in the room and rests invisible to people standing near it. This allegory might demonstrate the tendency of underestimating the ‘privileged’ in terms of stereotyped racial consideration group of people that is constantly pressed by white males that do not consider them as equal and rational individuals. In the main part of the analysis, the focus has shifted from the reasons for this paradoxical situation to the history of major trends in the white female vote and the demonstration of the importance of white women as a distinct class unit. I could see this shift as a lack of argument to reinforce my own position and a desire to draw attention to the fascinating statistics rather than to answer the question posed at the beginning of the article.
Finally, even after analyzing the problem from both sides, I still cannot understand the reason for white females votes for Republicans in the elections despite the fact that Republican candidates directly criticize the trend of society’s feminization. At the same time, it would be interesting to compare different social groups in terms of their voting power since I cannot understand the scale of numerical difference between white and colored female citizens.
