What Joe Biden has Done in His First One-Hundred Days as the President

Effects of President Biden’s Administration on Domestic Policy

The domestic policy covers several areas, including health care, law enforcement, money and taxes, natural resources, business, education, and energy. The strategies include the American rescue plan, American jobs plan, and American families’ plan.

American Rescue Plan

COVID-19 pandemic has influenced the continuity of racial injustice in the health systems and economy. President Biden announced an American rescue plan that will provide solutions to these problems to address this issue. This strategy focuses on mounting country-wide vaccination programs to contain the Coronavirus and safe reopening of learning institutions (Knopf and Alison, 1). Biden administration is also upholding communities striving for COVID-19.

American Families Plan

Payments in millions have been distributed to households to cushion families from the effects of this pandemic. This American plan focuses on extending the free education program by at least four years. The other plan is to provide support to children and families by establishing a national intensive paid family and medical leave program. This strategy also extends tax cuts for families with children and American employees, which will help lower and middle-income workers and the community.

American Jobs Plan

The American Jobs Plan is a strategy that will create many good job opportunities for United States citizens. It will also re-establish the nation’s infrastructure and position United States to out-shine China. This model concentrates on repairing roads, reconstructing bridges, advancement of airports and transit systems. Through actualizing these projects, many job opportunities will be created.

Efforts Accomplished by President Biden Affecting Foreign Policy

The main issue concerning foreign policy during the campaign was the US-China connection. Biden has concentrated on three other states that include Afghanistan, Iran, and Russia since he assumed office (Soare and Simona 14). He is focused on withdrawing troops from Afghanistan by September, which began at the start of May. Some of the United States troops will remain in this country to protect American diplomats. Biden has also rescued the U.S-Iran nuclear deal that was actualized under President Barack Obama’s administration, which Trump Government had stopped. These two countries resumed discussions in Vienna in April, but the representative involved did not interact directly. Instead, they shared their opinions through officials from the international powers who are party to the deal.

Biden’s administration has also issued a broad penalty and diplomatic expulsion against Russia responding to Moscow’s interruption in the 2020 United States polls, cyber-attacks, and adverse rights violations in Crimea (Soare and Simona 14). The United States identified the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service as the team after the SolarWinds hack. The administration also expelled ten Russian diplomats in Washington because of the hack and polls interference. Additionally, Biden’s government has banned United states financial facilities from involving in the primary market for bonds served by Russia’s central bank and other top monetary institutions. This event was just two days after Biden has conversed with Russian President Vladimir Putin and recommended a summit between the two nations to happen later this year.

Effects of Biden’s Administration on Civil Rights

Biden’s government has made significant Administrative policies and executive orders in its first one hundred days in office. These efforts include executive orders preventing and fighting discrimination concerning gender identity. These directives were signed by President Biden, instructing all national agencies, which impose state laws banning sex discrimination and also to forbid discernment based on gender identity and sexual orientation (Gostin et al. 5). Every agency was given one hundred days from the announcement date to develop formations to actualize the executive order. Biden has also issued the first presidential formal public announcement acknowledging a transgender day of visibility. This information respect and celebrates the success of transgender people nationally. It commends the resiliency in improving the civil rights of transsexual and non-binary people, which acknowledges the systematic discernment and violence that continues to perform as objections to balanced treatment.

He also ascended to the Trump administration’s executive instructions to promote racial balance and uphold under-resourced communities through the United States government. This order covers communities of color, religious minorities, people with disabilities, citizens residing in non-metropolitan areas, and those with minimum income (Gostin et al. 5). It directs state agencies to eradicate systematic obstacles to care, for instance, unbalanced access to services and insufficient insurance coverage. Additionally, providing equal connection to chances and benefits for under-resourced communities. They are also supposed to improve resourcing, involvement, and coordination with these communities and civil rights organizations to advance more balanced policies, budgetary investments, and information assembling.

Biden’s Influence on Civil Liberties in the First 100 Days as the President

Biden’s commenced his leadership by appointing the most complex, racially diverse Cabinet in United states history. He dissolved the 1776 commission and took action to solve racial, and economic imbalance, including ascending to executive orders that effectively connect people of color and whites (Taschner and John 461). It also improves the fight against bigotry encountered by Asian-Americans and reduces families’ anxiety with imprisoned relatives. In addition, he signed an administrative order in January invalidating Trump’s government ban on most transgender Americans getting admission to the military. These are updated policies that simplify trans-sexual people to join up and get medical care while serving.

From his promises during the campaign, Biden has stopped Trump’s Muslim travel ban, which barred citizens of countries with many Muslims from entering the United States. He has also served an immigration reform plan to Congress that recommends a road to citizenship for eleven million unregistered immigrants. Biden has also restored deportation superiority to the state which the Obama administration created, which concentrated on individuals who committed offenses apart from entering the state illegally. On his initial day in office, he rallied his support behind the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival program (Taschner and John 461). This organization allows individuals who came to the United States as children and unregistered to live in the state. Biden has also made efforts to create a task force to reunite Migrant families that the previous administration destroyed.
