Donald Trump’s Campaign in the CNN Article

The article by CNN called “The raging new Donald Trump campaign starts up where he left off” tries to analyze the recent stunt of ex-President of the US – Donald Trump. On September 10, Trump announced that he would like to box President Joe Biden and “easily win the fight.” He also declared that he would be a commentator for the boxing match on Saturday night – the Memorial Day of 9/11 events. Experts at CNN are convinced that these stunts are Trump’s attempts to go against the mainstream politics of the US. In addition, they argue that it contributes to the consolidation of trust in Trump among his supporters. Trump is becoming an idol for the American outcasts whose voices were pressured by the change within the social and economic aspects of the world.

The article represents the opinion of Michael D’Antonio. He is the author of “The Truth About Trump” and many other political, religious, and business books. Michael D’Antonio also works as a journalist and commentator on CNN. This article was written to present the de-glorifying argument against Trump and demonstrate to the world an oppositional view on his image. The argument which he presents seems to be valid and well-supported considering previous actions of Trump and his followers. Moreover, an interview with Joshua Greene, a Harvard professor of psychology, strengthens the truthfulness of the rhetoric used.

The most significant rhetoric used by Michael D’Antonio is the short summary of Trump’s political activity. He says, “Trump is raising a middle finger at mainstream America,” “this is a man who gained office with childish insults and unseemly boasts.” Even though these expressions look like an insult of the oppositionist, they are quite accurate. Trump’s career was filled with numerous ignorant claims, which ranged from his campaign slogan “make America great again” to the denial of global warming. Thus, insult or not this article will remain as the commemoration of Donald Trump’s ignorance.
