The fulfillment of these requirements lies entirely with the human resources manager, who is an integral part of any organization. In the field of the Profession of Arms, the value of the Human Resources Sergeant is critical since this specialist has such responsibilities as solving soldiers’ problems, ensuring their safety and well-being, and providing all necessary information about them to the leadership. Therefore, this work aims to study the profession of Human Resources Sergeant and its role in the army system.
Human Resources Sergeant
First of all, it is necessary to gain an understanding of what the profession is. Hence, the main aspects that are necessarily included in this concept are ethics, rules and regulations, culture, and values. All of them should be effectively used in practice and applied in solving problems, especially those related to the army personnel. In the profession in the Army, these concepts are especially critical since discipline and compliance with the rules are also valued in this area (Department of the Army, 2012). That is why they should become the basis for performing any actions within this field of activity. Moreover, this profession implies that specialists have a special certificate in the field of ground combat power. In addition, the acquired skills should be actively applied in their practice and have successful results.
In such a profession as a leader, especially in the field of the army, it is imperative to have a balancing role. This aspect mainly concerns various powers and tasks that a specialist must perform at the workplace. Moreover, this profession involves monitoring and controlling the current and prospective operating environment to ensure the safety and well-being of all employees involved in it (“Preparing and managing correspondence,” 2020). Human resources sergeants should be able to equalize the amount of responsibility that falls on managers in the field under study.
Another equally important aspect of the work of a human resources sergeant is taking into account the army’s professional culture. Therefore, this specialist is obliged to have profound knowledge in this field and take them into account when making any decisions (“An army white paper,” 2010). Culture in this area may include aspects such as the value of performing duties, honor, and loyalty. In addition, the Human Resources Sergeant has such a duty as the constant maintenance of these aspects among employees to ensure the most incredible efficiency and motivation.
Consequently, considering the above, it can be concluded that the profession of a human resource sergeant has a vital role in the army profession. This is because representatives of this specialty must ensure the welfare of all workers in the field. Moreover, their responsibilities include promoting and disseminating awareness about the importance of the work that people do in this area of society. Further, they are responsible for ensuring staff development and must have skills that will motivate individuals. This includes not only practical and productive activities but also an encouragement to become army professionals and agitation to achieve professional and career goals. In addition, the Human Resources Sergeant must make sure that all responsibilities are equally distributed among employees. This requirement also contributes to ensuring the satisfaction and well-being of employees. Therefore, this work considered the importance of the profession of a sergeant of human resources and came to the conclusion that this specialist is essential in army activities.
