Introduction
Military structures have always been important for sustaining justice among social structures. For this purpose, police officers serve as law enforcement agencies in the United States of America. Whatever effective their services might be, they come at the expense of people’s lives that could be endangered in various ways. As a result, several issues emerge that affect the work and health of police officers, and that should be addressed by governmental institutions. As such, currently, the main problems are technological difficulties, environmental danger, lack of trust in police, and inefficient education.

The mentioned issues are recognized by the governmental agencies of the United States, such as the National Institute of Justice. Namely, the organization defined the existing difficulties and even proposed some solutions for them. First of all, the issues include the complications caused by the digital information coming from videos of crimes. Police cannot adequately assess the evidence delivered to them due to insufficient technological advances. Next, the pressure and danger of direct work with criminals are the reasons for high tensions among police and even suicides among officers. Thirdly, the public is overwhelmed by social conflicts of the present decade and expresses distrust towards the government as well as the police, disrupting the work of law enforcement. Finally, the officers seem to use outdated techniques and strategies in their work, which decreases their productivity (National Institute of Justice, 2020). Thus, the issues that police officers face nowadays are primarily due to the lack of public appreciation and organizational structure.
Conclusion
To conclude, the law enforcement agencies of the United States encounter problems of various types. Primarily, these issues are caused by social factors and technological drawbacks of the police departments. Additionally, the dangerous nature of the police officers’ work affects their lives and mental health. The current state of the police departments is unsatisfactory and needs thorough innovation that should be in accordance with the public needs.
