It can be stated that the political, economic, and social sustainability of a country and the empowerment of youth are interrelated phenomena. Intra-state situations influence the shaping of many of a generation’s unique traits, but it is the youth who decides the country’s future. The UAE government has adopted seventeen fundamental sustainable development goals (UN’s 2030 agenda, 2020, para. 1). This list of objectives is based on the primary global directions of the UN.
They include economic goals such as complete poverty reduction, sustainable economic growth, and zero hunger (UN’s 2030 agenda, 2020, para. 1). It is also worth noting that such socio-political goals as gender equality, climate action, and innovative infrastructure (UN’s 2030 agenda, 2020, para. 1). An effective youth empowerment policy is essential for these goals to be achieved to continue the country’s sustainable development. In order to understand which government programs are effective, detailed research on the UAEs’ authority youth empowerment policy is needed to be conducted.
